EDF Fenice's business in Italy

EDF Fenice's main activity is building and operating cogeneration and trigeneration power plants, combined steam and hot water thermal plants, air-conditioning systems, compressed air production units, and distribution networks for electricity and industrial fluid (heated, frozen and compressed air, and other industrial gases). EDF Fenice operates around 800 MW of electricity generation capacity and 3,500 MWth of heat generation capacity.

Plants

The company is present on 51 industrial sites in Italy: 48 thermal energy generation plants (steam, hot water) with a total power of 2,800 MWth; 28 power plants with a total capacity of 500 MW; 19 compressed air production sites with an overall volume of 1,950 million m3 in 2010. In addition, EDF Fenice is in charge of the Operation and maintenance of eight combined-cycle power plants for third-parties, including six CIP6/92 plants, with a total capacity of 500 MWe and 200 MWth.


EDF Fenice outside Italy

The company has three wholly owned subsidiaries in Poland (Fenice Poland), Spain (Fenice Instalaciones Iberica) and Russia (Fenice Rus). The focus of their activities is outsourcing management for thermal combined-cycle (electricity, heat and cold) plants. They also provide related energy and environmental services.

EDF Fenice signed an agreement in March 2010 with the Russian utility company, Inter Rao, to establish a 50/50 joint venture company, Interenergoeffect, with the aim of developing energy efficient projects in Russia.
